Spesielt for familier:
Centrum
The Multatuli apartment, run by Amsterdam Mama Joanna Monkhouse, is a three-bedroom residence sleeping up to eight people, plus a baby. It is situated in an attractive street in the northern side of the Jordaan district, walking distance from Centraal Station. The apartment has its own front door and is located two flights of stairs up, in the top half of the building. There are also stairs in the apartment but the owners can provide stair gates if you have a toddler. A cot, toys and a high chair are available on request. The owners live downstairs so are available to help with any issues. Excellent reviews on Trip Advisor and Air B&B.
The Weavery is a lovely B&B with beautifully-designed rooms located near to the pretty Spiegelkwartier. It is run by German Amsterdam Mama Bettina Abaoûz, who has hosted families with children of all ages, although there are quite steep stairs if you book the larger room. For babies, ask for an extra cot. For older children, book the upstairs suite with its private roof terrace and sleep the children either in the bed in the eaves or in the double bed on the lower level. Kitchenettes in both rooms add flexibility. It receives top reviews on Trip Advisor. Reduced rates over the winter.
Oud West
Bed & Breakfast Helmers is located on a bustling street in Oud West, amongst trendy cafes and shops. Its friendly owner can help with recommendations for food and activities. The B&B is located on the 4th floor with a roof terrace with lovely views, and is very popular with families. Both rooms have a kitchenette so you can prepare your own meals. Larger families can book both rooms and have the place to themselves. Lots of stairs so may not suit toddlers. Outstanding reviews on Trip Advisor.
Bed and Breakfast Amsterdam in the Hoofdorpleinbuurt is another top scorer on Trip Advisor. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Larger groups can book both rooms and the suite and enjoy space and privacy.
Oud Zuid
Bed&Coffee in Ams-Zuid is a small studio apartment close to Station Zuid. It has its own entrance and a small garden. No kitchen, but very clean and the owner is very nice. Cosier and more comfortable than a hotel room. 1 double bed and 1 sofa bed suitable for two children. Excellent reviews.
The Apollo Museum Hotel is in a lovely location, close to the Rijksmuseum. It has a spacious outdoor terrace and offers family rooms that sleep 4.
Oost
Stay Okay in Zeeburg is a hostel where you can book private family rooms. This is an inexpensive solution if you have people visiting and gets really good reviews. They offer organic breakfast and dinner.
Lloyd Hotel is in an interesting old building and has pricing options from 1-5 star so guests on a budget can take the cheap option and those living it up can go for the designer rooms. For families, the adjoining rooms with shared bathrooms or the apartments are good solutions.
