I don´t wanna loose/this good thing/that I got/If I do/I would surely/surely loose a lot
I left my home in Georgia/Headed for the Frisco bay/ 'Cos I've had nothing to live for /And look like nothing's gonna come my way
Busted flat in baton rouge, headin for the trains/Feelin nearly faded as my jeans/Bobby thumbed a diesel down just before it rained/Took us all the way to New Orleans
As I walk this land with broken dreams/I have visions of many things/
Love's happiness is just an illusion/Filled with sadness and confusion
If the sky that we look upon/Should tumble and fall/And the mountain should crumble to the sea
Some time ago I thought/You had run out of fools/But I was so wrong/
You got one that you'll never lose
You're out on the streets looking good/and baby deep down in your heart I guess you know that it ain't right
Wonder this time where she's gone/wonder if she's gone to stay
Hey window pain do you remember/How sweet it used to be/When we were together/Everything was so grand
When my soul was in the lost-and-found/You came along to claim it /
I didn't know just what was wrong with me/Till your kiss helped me name it
Sun lights up the daytime/moon lights up the night/I light up when you call my name/and you know I'm gonna treat you right
It´s just an invitation/across the nation/a chance for folks to meet/
There´ll be laughing and singing/music swinging
I dont know why I love you like I do/After all these changes that you put me through/You stole my money and my cigarettes
